Confraternity of Christian Mothers
Christian Mothers and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers
Christian mothers play an important role in the destinies of their homes. Often times Christian mothers undertake the important task of training and sanctifying the young souls entrusted to their care. Christian mothers unite their hearts to Christ and help bring their families closer to God. All mothers should be Christian mothers.
WHO and WHAT is this group called the Confraternity of Christian Mothers?
The Confraternity of Christian Mothers is comprised of mothers, women who have expressed their desire to be part of the organization, the Confraternity. Our ages range from young mothers to elderly grandmothers. They are professed into the organization and pay annual dues.
WHY become a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers?
The aim of the Confraternity is to “encourage members to joyously undertake the important task of training and sanctifying the young souls entrusted to their care.” Members of the Confraternity join together in prayer with Spiritual Days of Recollection, the celebration of the Santa Ana Novena in July, the annual Christian Mothers Convention and other opportunities of prayer. Many powerful graces are available through prayers and good works performed by the members.
WHEN do the members meet?
The Confraternity of Christian Mothers of Our Lady of Peace and Safe Journey in Chalan Pago meet on the Monday after the second Sunday of the month. In our parish, every second Sunday is designated as Christian Mothers’ Sunday, and the members attend the 6:30 am Mass as a group united to pray for our children and our community. Our monthly meetings begin with and end in prayer. As a group, we perform various apostolic works in the parish.
